FORMATION

The vision of formation is to form the young members towards an intimate relationship with Jesus and an intense desire to serve God’s people. It enables them to assume the form of life and the apostolic task of the communities of the Sisters of the Holy Spirit.  The formation takes place in several stages: the Pre- Novitiate (Candidacy & Postulancy), Novitiate and Juniorate.

Candidacy and Postulancy are an initial time of testing for suitability for religious life. The life in the congregation begins with the start of Postulancy.  The Novitiate is a time for more intensive preparation and examination. It serves as an introduction into the spirit of the life of the congregation and the rules of St. Augustine.

 The Juniorate encompasses the time of the temporary vows. It serves the further exercise and examination of the sisters in regard to the life in the community and the tasks of the Congregation.
