Inspired by Vatican II, the congregation extended its missionary activities to India. It was the same which our Mother Foundress had while founding this congregation that we respond to the needs of the time and reach out to the people. Mother Euthymia took a daring step and requested Fr. Werner CMI, as he was a student in Germany to recruit girls from Kerala in 1964. Late Bishop Januarius Palathuruthy CMI, the bishop of Chanda diocese during his stay in Germany gave good orientation to the Indian candidates about Mission and inspired them with the message 'Believe and grow.' His visits influenced them greatly and helped them to be convinced of their apostolic role in India, which would be quite challenging. After their religious formation Sr. M.Edith, Sr.M. Inviolata, Sr.M. Christiana were sent out as missionaries to India on Jan.21st 1973.

On 25th March 1980, the Indian branch was officially declared as a region of the congregation. On 3rd May 1980 Sr.M. Gregoria was appointed as the Regional Superior by the General Team. Sr.M. Alberta, Sr.M. Alphonsa and Sr.M. Agathe were the first councillors of the Region. Sr.M. Thomasia was appointed as the Regional Treasurer & Secretary. A new society, 'Shanti Mandal', was registered in Pune on December 6, 1980 and it was declared a Public Trust on 16th January 1981. In 1983 Regional Office was shifted from Dilasagram to Apnaghar , Shankarshet Road, Pune.

On 12th June 1998 the Region was raised to the status of a Province and hence on 7th July 1998 the administrative office of the region had been shifted from Apna Ghar to Holy Spirit Provincialate, 12/ 2 Vadgaonsheri, Pune.
